Bull Brand, South Africa’s leading producer of quality canned meat products since 1957, has refreshed the packaging of their corned meat product range as part of the brand’s reinvigoration plans. Bull Brand was acquired last year by fast-growing South African-based food business Rhodes Food Group, in line with the company’s growth strategy.
Canned Meat: Doing What it Says on the Tin
“The new look was designed to enhance the iconic status of this famous South African brand, celebrating its heritage, and making sure that it stands out on the shelf. We wanted to create a clear, simple and easily recognisable design so that our consumers are able to quickly identify our products in-store. The new-look packaging assists consumers to distinguish between our various corned meat variants: the original, Chilli and Chakalaka flavour and Corned Beef. The new design also clearly informs our consumers of product benefits, nutritional value and the Halaal status,” says Richard Phillips, Commercial Director for Rhodes Food Group.
“We are proud to include Bull Brand in our repertoire of quality products produced by Rhodes Food Group and are committed to preserving the iconic status of this brand. Bull Brand resonates with many South Africans and as a result of its consistent quality, has earned a place and story in many South African homes and hearts,” says Phillips.
Bull Brand has a central production facility located in Krugersdorp and all products are Halaal-certified and can be found in most leading wholesale and retail outlets in South Africa.
